PRIVATE LABELS: Cariddi (Charibdys)

CHARIBDYS was a beautiful naiad and the daughter of Poseidon, the god of the sea, whose location was traditionally associated with Sicily. She became famous thanks to Homer’s poem, the Odyssey. The label represents the whirlpool created by Charibdys in the Straits of Messina, opposite the rock identified with Scylla, in order to catch the ships and sailors crossing the sea.
